Dr Umesh Prabhu is Currently working as Medical Adviser for Edgehill University for international medical recruitment, Patron of AvMA, also Member of Patient Safety Advisory committee of Datix. After his graduation in India Dr Prabhu came to the UK in 1982. He then trained in Paediatrics at Oxford, Edinburgh and Leeds. Dr Umesh Prabhu became a Consultant Paediatrician (1992-2010), Clinical Director of Paediatrics (1992-1998), Medical Director of Bury NHS Trust (1998-2003), Board Member of UK National Patient Safety Agency (2001-2003), National Adviser to the National Clinical Assessment Service UK (2003-2015), Medical Director of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh FT (2010-2016) Following my own mistake in 1992, he developed a keen interest in patient safety, quality and why doctors make mistakes. Over the past 25 years or so he has done lot of work on patient safety, medical errors, clinical governance, why doctors make mistakes, professional regulation, organizational governance, culture, leadership and institutional racism, subconscious bias and so on. He has given more than 200 lectures and conducted many workshops for doctors nationally and internationally on patient safety, quality, why doctors make mistakes, professional regulation, value-based leadership, clinical governance and so on and advised and helped more than 500 doctors, mostly Indian doctors in UK

Steven is an Alumnus of the London School of Economics and Political Science where he gained an MSc in Social Work and Social Policy. He qualified as a Psychotherapist in 1991 from Birckbeck College, University of London and specialized in working in child protection and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. During his academic career, he gained an MPhil in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and was appointed Principal Lecturer, Head of Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Anglia Ruskin University where he designed an award-winning, multidisciplinary training course for all staff working with troubled young people. Steven has published 14 books and over 50 International peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented his research at 10 International Conferences in Russia, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, Buenos Aries, Greece, Scotland, and the UK. He currently works as a sessional lecturer with Ph.D. Psychology students at Essex University and as a volunteer Counsellor with a local Youth Charity

Ching Rong Lin concerns about patient's mental health status to help them adapting and coping with stress, managing in body-mind-spirit symptoms such as pain, fatigue, insomnia, satisfying their long-term needs, and promoting their quality of life. She also works with caregivers those whose family members lived with chronic disease and suffered from mental distress to manage their anxiety and depressions, searching for meaning of life and hope, and cooperating with different medical and caring team members to gain better quality of life. Emma is interested in researches in the longitudinal changing outcomes of patients, including cancer survivors and their family caregivers, with psychiatric or mental distress. Specific concerns about designing and testing of cognitive- behavioral therapeutic and mindfulness interventions were targeted to improve the physical, psychological and social distress and needs. Emma is an assistant professor in the School of Nursing of College of Medicine of Chang Gung University, and senior researcher of Department of Radiation Oncology and Proton and Radiation Therapy Center of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. Emma received her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Nursing of College of Medicine of National Taiwan University. She completed clinical psychiatric nursing practice training in Medical Center of National Taiwan University Hospital. She keeps on contributing her mental health professional knowledge and clinical skills towards teaching student nurses, working with nurse practitioner, and cooperating with multiple disciplines members to provide caring for patients suffering with psychiatric or cancer-related distress and their family caregivers in the Medical Healthcare System.

Sam Vaknin is Visiting Professor of Psychology, Southern Federal University, Rostov-on-Don, Russia and Professor of Finance and Psychology in CIAPS (Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies). Sam Vaknin is the author of Malignant Self-love: Narcissism Revisited and other books about personality disorders. His work is cited in hundreds of books and dozens of academic papers. He spent the past 6 years developing Cold Therapy: a treatment modality for Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). Over the years, with dozens of volunteers, he found that it was effective with clients suffering from a major depressive episode as well.

He is working with an NGO “Amrit Drug De-addiction and Research Foundation” . He has 15 years experience in drug de addiction field with more than 2500 patients.He is a member of various national and international Institutions which are working on drug de-addiction namely ASAM , NAADAC , ISAM , IPS , IMA , ISA , ISCCM , ISSM.- In addition to a MBBS and MD degree , he is certified by ISAM ( International Society of Addiction Medicine ) in substance use disorders scoring 82% marks.ISAM is funded by World Health Organization and NIDA (USA).He has attended many national and international conferences ( Netherlands , Germany , Australia , Spain , Malaysia , Thailand ) and has presented his research works on de-addiction . Recently he presented his work in WPA conference held at Madrid(Spain) and IPS conference at Hyderabad and AIIMS New Delhi . His research papers has been published in Intentional journals of repute with high impact factor.He is a reviewer of Buprenorphine website “Buppractice” which has trained more than 3000 doctors and which is funded entirely by SAMHSA (American Govt. ) He has won 3000 US Dollars fellowship award at ISAM 2013 conference held at Kuala lumpur where more than 1000 doctors from 100 countries of the world had participated.In year 2014 he has been nominated for prestigious “Voice” awards of SAMHSA (American Govt.)He has been given state award on 15 August 2015 by Govt. for his services in field of Drug de-addiction.He has written two story books on drug addiction . These books for which he has copy right are considered reference books in Punjabi on de-addiction . More than 30000 copies of his first book (sixth edition) and more than 7000 copies of his second book ( third edition ) have been distributed so far . Based on these stories a large number of award winning plays have been dramatized.6. A film against drug addiction “COME BACK JEETU” has been written and produced by him which is based on one of the stories of his first book . This film has broken all the records of success in the history of Punjabi cinema . In six months of its release this movie has won numerous awards and has been screened in 17international ( USA , Australia , Romania , Singapore , Indonesia , Canada ) and five national festivals ( Kolkata , Delhi , Shimla , Jaipur ,Bhopal ) . This movie has become a landmark movie in history of drug deaddiction . In first three month of its release this movie has got half million views on YouTube.7. He has developed an interactive software “SANTAM” helping patients as well as physicians in diagnosis and treatment of Substance Use Disorder . This software is first of its kind in Punjabi . This software is available for free download .This software has been translated in many languages and at present being used at premier mental health institute NIMHANS , Banglore.In addition his articles and stories are being published regularly in various leading newspapers , magazines and International Journals of repute . He is appearing regularly on Television and Radio shows for live interactive talk against drug addiction.

Dr. Rajendra D. Badgaiyan, MD, is the Chief of Psychiatry at South Texas Veterans Health Care System San Antonio, Texas, and Professor of Psychiatry at Long School of Medicine, University of Texas Health, San Antonio, Texas. Dr Badgaiyan went to medical school in Bhopal, India and trained in cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging in the laboratories of Michael Posner (Oregon), Daniel Schacter (Harvard), BJ Casey (Pittsburgh), and Alan Fischman (Harvard Medical School). He completed psychiatry residency at Harvard Medical School and was a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School. Previously, he was in the faculty of the State University of New York at Buffalo and University of Minnesota at Minneapolis as a tenured Professor. He also served as the Chairman of Psychiatry Department and Professor of Psychiatry in a hospital affiliated to Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai, New York. Dr Badgaiyan developed a neurotransmitter imaging technique called the single scan dynamic molecular imaging technique (SDMIT) or neurotransmitter imaging technique to detect, map, and measure neurotransmitters released acutely in the live human brain. Using this technique, he studies dopaminergic control of human cognition and behavior. He has received several prizes and awards including the prestigious Solomon Prize of Harvard Medical School and BK Anand National Research Prize in India. His research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Dana Foundation and other agencies. Dr Badgaiyan has published over 200 research papers, book chapters and a book titled ‘Neuroscience of the Nonconscious Mind’ (Elsevier/Academic Press).

Dr. Risal is MD in Psychiatry and PhD from the Norwegian University of science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. His PhD research estimated national prevalence of anxiety and depression in Nepal and their comorbidities with headache disorders. Currently, he is working in the field of geriatric depression. He has many scientific research articles published in the national and international peer-reviewed journals; in 16 articles, he is the first/ corresponding author. He also writes columns in the national media (English and Nepali daily newspapers, monthly magazines etc.), with the purpose of raising public awareness on mental health issues and stigma eradication
